After half a century of making summer-ready shoes, Vans still has a few tricks up their sleeves. Case in point, the new Vans UltraRange.
Built specifically for surfers looking for a go-anywhere, do-anything sneaker, these new kicks are decidedly more rugged than others released from the brand. The mid on the shoe is made from a new proprietary UltraCush foam that is engineered to better dampen hard foot strikes. In addition to the new cushioning technology, the outsole is much grippier. Rather than going with the classic waffle pattern, Vans opted for an inverted design with deeper lugs. Made from a breathable and durable mesh, the upper portion of the sneaker provides a much lighter and more comfortable feel thanks to an interior LuxLuner sock-fit construction. All things said these sneakers are everything we love about Vans, with all of the tech we’ve come to expect from their peers.
